Groups funded under CCS and ECCE
Childcare services currently being funded under the Community Childcare Subvention Scheme (CCS) may also apply for funding under ECCE. Provision will be made to ensure this does not amount to double funding. CCSS funded services participating in ECCE will make joint ECCE/CCSS returns, as some of their children will be funded under ECCE and others under the CCS. Funding for 2011 therefore will be calculated based on joint electronic returns and parent declaration forms, covering both schemes.
CCS-funded services should note that CCS funding is based on the number of weeks the service is open, and should this reduce (e.g. from 46 weeks to 38 weeks) this may impact on their funding level in 2011.
