Fundraising
Fundraising is the process of actively raising money for your service or cause. It is an organisational effort that involves requesting donations and contributions from individual people or companies for your service and its activities. The Dublin City Childcare Committee has published a guide to fundraising for Childcare Providers in the Dublin City area. The purpose of this guide to fundraising is twofold:
- Firstly, to provide useful information on the practice of fundraising to childcare providers who are either involved in fundraising activities or who wish to initiate fundraising projects for their service.
- Secondly, to act as a resource for fundraising knowledge and ideas for childcare providers in Dublin City. The resources listed in this guide are not exhaustive and new grant- making bodies are being set up regularly.
