Childminding Advisory Service

 

The role of the Childminding Advisory Service is to provide a free, professional support system to assist childminders and those interested in setting up a childminding service in their home. This is done through the provision of relevant information and advice. Childminding advisors will:

 

  1. Offer FREE support to Childminders who are caring for 3 or less pre-school children;
  2. Provide information on current legislation, grant schemes, and business administration for Childminders;
  3. Facilitate access to training and information sessions for Childminders;
  4. Facilitate the establishment of Childminding networks;
  5. Offer advice and support through home visits upon Childminders request;
  6. Work with groups and /or individual Childminders;
  7. Serve as a point of contact between Childminders and parents seeking childcare.

 

Currently there are two workers providing Childminding Advisory service in Dublin City:
