Positive parenting
Becoming a parent is the most important and the hardest work most of us will ever get the chance to do. Children are an incredible source of life, discovery, and fun. They bring unconditional love and admiration, they allow us, adults, to share the magic of play and discoveries, they allow us to reflect on our own values, attitudes, and experiences.
Parenthood comes with a huge responsibility and requires certain set of skills. There is no single answer to what good parenting is. Good parenting involves love and careful attention to the needs of children, to making sure that early years experiences are positive, that relationships are trusting and loving. There is an increased volume of research evidence that early childhood experiences and, in particular, a child's relationship with parents/guardians has a significant influence on future physical, intellectual, psychological, economic, and social well-being of a child.
